Get Rid of Your Sharp Pain in Stomach After Eating Once and For All

,
Some people often feel sharp pain in stomach after eating. There is a mild problem due to overeating but there is also a serious lead.

Reported by Livestrong.com, the onset of mild pain in stomach after eating probably caused by eating too much or excess gas formation in the stomach, but, it possibly indicates more serious condition if the pain become severe and often repeated.

Here are some causes of sharp pain in stomach after eating:
  1. Overeating, which means that you eat more than your stomach can "eat". Eating too much will make a person feel sleepy and tired that people prefer to sit or sleep, then. This is what usually causes pain in stomach after eating. Eating too much, mainly eat unhealthy food, and sleep after eating can interrupt digestive process which can lead to many problems, especially digestive problems.
  2. Intense pain in the lower right abdomen. This may be caused by appendicitis, which usually followed by nausea, vomiting or fever.
  3. Gallstone induces abdominal pain in the right upper abdomen. This pain can radiate to the right upper back, right shoulder or chest.
  4. Caused by Pancreatitis, in the event of severe abdominal pain in the upper abdomen after 6-12 hours of eating a heavy meal. Pain begins in the upper abdomen and spread to the sides and back which may be followed by nausea, increased heart rate, or fever.
  5. The possibility of pelvic inflammation, heart attacks, ulcers in the stomach or food poisoning. All of these things can cause extreme abdominal pain after eating.
Pain in Stomach After Eating

So What Can We Do?

Everyone needs to eat to provide energy. Stomach and small intestine secrete enzymes and hormones when food is digested. This enzyme breaks down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats that we consume into useful material for body cells.

Most of the material is used as an energy booster, generating heat, or stored as glycogen or fat. However, some of them contribute to produce gases which cause stomach to be bloated, inflammation or any kind of discomfort.

To make your stomach more calm and relieve the pain, you need to eat food that is friendly to your stomach, and keep away from other types of foods and beverages that can cause abdominal pain. As reported by Healthmeup.com, here's how to choose foods that are good for the stomach:

Pay Attention to Your Eating Habits
If you get sharp pain in stomach after eating, you have to change the type of food you eat and your eating habits. You should eat a snack like fruit or bread at breakfast, not a heavy meal like steak or cheeseburger.

You should not eat 2-3 hours before bed. Lying on a full stomach can press your lower esophageal sphincter, a valve that keeps stomach acid and food does not come back up into the esophagus.

Eat Enough Fiber
Eating foods that contain plenty of fiber is an excellent way to maintain digestive health and prevent constipation. You need a variety of fibers such as whole wheat bread, brown rice, fruits, vegetables, and nuts in order to keep your colon healthy.

Some people do not fit in with the cereals and grains as it can cause bloating and bowel irritation. If this happens, you can eat fiber from fruits and vegetables instead.

Drink Lots of Water
It is important for you to keep drinking lots of water, because it can launch your digestive and disposal systems. Fiber works like a sponge, absorbing water. If no fluid, fiber can’t do the job and can lead to constipation, so you need consuming plenty of water. Drink two glasses of water before and after eating. You should also avoid caffeine because it can cause stomach discomfort.

Watch Your Food Composition
You need to avoid spicy food if it makes your stomach heat, pain in your stomach or even diarrhea. Some people also do not fit with certain foods. Acidic foods such as tomatoes, oranges and soft drinks can also cause abdominal pain.

If you can’t digest lactose (the sugar in milk), which happens to be the stomach bloating and diarrhea after drinking or eating products containing milk, such as cream, cheese, yogurt and chocolate milk.

Choose the Right Drinks
Beverages containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks, may increase the gastric acid and cause stomach problems in some people. To reduce digestive problems, choose drinks that are not carbonated and contains no caffeine, such as herbal teas and water. If you must consume tea or coffee, limit your intake. One or two cups a day is enough.

Smoking is still the biggest cause of early death, which leads to more than 100,000 deaths in the UK every year.

According to the Department of Health, this new campaign will focus on the fact that smoking 15 cigarettes per day can cause cell mutations, which can lead to tumors and cancer.

"This is a hard-hitting campaign to get at the hidden harms of smoking. People will see a man smoking and then a cancer growing out of the cigarette. That is what happens in people's bodies." Said Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies, as reported by Dailymail, Friday (28/12/2012).

Prof. Davies said that one-in-two smokers die from smoking, mostly from cancer. According to him, people do not personalize the harms of smoking and do not understand what was going on in their bodies.

"This will show them," added Prof. Davies.

This is not the first time for UK Department of Health release an anti-smoking ad graphically. Earlier in 2004, they released a graphic ad showed fatty deposits being squeezed from a smoker's arteries and fat dripping from the tip of cigarettes.

BEWARE: Frequent Text Message Typos Can Be A Signs of Stroke Symptoms

,
It's still considered as a normal condition when you occasionally do an error in typing (Typo) text message (SMS). But you may need to be alert when typos happen very often and repeatedly. It may be stroke symptoms. However, typos is not the main signs of a stroke. This article written only for information and early detection purpose.

This finding based on a case when a man in Boston received two text messages (SMS) from his wife who was pregnant 3 months. The message contains sentences that are confusing because there are so many typos. The man's wife was not a careless person, so much typing errors seem odd for him.

The man then took his wife to conduct medical tests to the hospital. They were shocked when the doctor said that man's wife suffered a signs and symptoms of stroke, including disorientation, inability to use her right arm and right leg properly, and little difficulty speaking.

The case was reported by 3 doctors from Boston Harvard Medical School in the Archives of Neurology journal, as reported by MNN, Friday (28/12/2012).

"Digital notes is likely to be an important media for identifying neurological disease, especially for those who rely more on written communication, such as SMS, chat, and social media, than verbal communication", the study authors said.

The researchers have specify the problem as dystextia. Dystextia is similar to aphasia, a term used to describe a condition where a person has difficulty in processing language, either it is spoken or written, which is often a signs of a stroke symptoms.

Best Guide of Multiple Sclerosis Recovery Methods

,

Here’s a Wise Way to Multiple Sclerosis Recovery Methods

Multiple sclerosis usually, but not always, affects people when they are young adults. it is become active when body immune system damage the central nervous system and create inflammation in the brain and spinal cord.

Types of Multiple Sclerosis

Sudden (acute) relapsing multiple sclerosis
Periods of stability or recovery (known as remissions) followed by sudden episodes of symptoms or disability (known as relapses). About eight out of ten people with MS have relapsing/remitting multiple scleosis at onset.

Secondary progressive of multiple sclerosis
This stage can develop after a period of years in many people who initially have relapsing/remitting multiple sclerosis. About half the people with relapsing/remitting multiple sclerosis develop secondary progressive multiple sclerosis during the first 10 years of their illness.

Primary progressive of multiple sclerosis
Symptoms gradually create & worsen over time. About two to three in 20 people with multiple sclerosis have primary progressive multiple sclerosis at onset.

Although there is an information that dr. Paolo Zamboni from Italy has found the simple way to fully eliminate multiple sclerosis as wrote by Loz Blain on Gizmag, but it still generally accepeted that the treatments only to mitigate symptoms and slow the progression of multiple sclerosis.

Multiple Sclerosis RecoveryHere some signs and symptoms that come up related to this disorder, and it have an effect on the multiple sclerosis recovery method.
Loss of some or all vision in one eye
It's rare to be happened and the person usually recovers (fully or partly) after treatment. A sudden loss or reduction in vision in one eye happens when the nerve to the eye becomes inflamed (known as ‘optic neuritis’). If you have this symptom, you should be referred to an eye specialist (ophthalmologist) for a diagnosis.

Leg weakness or paralysis, or loss of control of the bowel or bladder
These symptoms are caused by inflammation around the spinal cord, which is known as transverse myelitis. If you have one of these symptoms, you should be referred for an urgent assessment to rule out causes other than MS and usually to have some steroid.

Fatigue
Fatigue is an overwhelming feeling of tiredness andweariness. If you have fatigue, you should also be given general advice for taking exercise and saving energy using special techniques. At the moment, there are no medicines for fatigue that can be used routinely.

Urinary tract infections
People with multiple sclerosis often get urinary tract infections. If you have a confirmed urinary tract infections, you should be referred to a continence specialist for tests, treatment and advice. Using antibiotics or drinking cranberry juice does not help to prevent urinary tract infections.

Bowel problems
Multiple sclerosis can cause difficulties with bowel control including an urgent need to empty bowels, pain or constipation. You should be given an advice on diet or trying laxatives. If you remain constipated despite trying laxatives, your doctor may discuss using suppositories or enemas.

Muscle spasms and stiffness
If this is a problem for you, your doctor or health worker should look for and treat any pain or infection that may be causing or making the symptoms worse. If problems continue, you should be referred to a specialist physiotherapist who can advise on techniques such as stretching, which can help to prevent stiffness developing. If your family or others help you do the exercises they too should be shown what to do.

Clumsiness and shaking
You should be referred to a specialist neurological rehabilitation team. If you have severe problems, your suitability for an operation to reduce the clumsiness should be assessed.

Pressure sores
If multiple sclerosis leads to limited movement, loss of feeling or the need for a wheelchair, then there is an increased risk of pressure sores. The best approach is to prevent them occurring in the first place by providing pressure-relieving devices or some kind of mattress designed to reduce the chance of pressure sores. The advice should also cover your diet and ways of moving you.

Swallowing difficulties
Sometimes multiple sclerosis can affect the nerves that control swallowing. People who have a problem with swallowing that lasts for more than a few days should be referred to a neurological rehabilitation team for an assessment. You should see a speech and language therapist for further assessment.

I found that multiple sclerosis rarely happen including in Indonesia. It will be difficult, however, to get a fully recovery when it occurs. So, you need to keep health, pals.

Heart Attack - The Biggest Killer

,
When fatty plaque build-up inside a coronary artery cracks and a blood clot forms blocking blood flow that supplies blood to an area of the heart muscle, it must create heart attack. When an artery supplying blood to the brain burst, left, or gets blocked by a plaque, it should create a stroke.

Heart attack also referred to as an acute myocardial infarction. Starved a blood, that portion of the heart muscle begins to die and can be permanently damaged without early medical treatment to restore circulation.

The symptoms may include tightness, fullness, pressure, heaviness or pain in the chest, neck, jaw, throat, shoulders, arms or back, difficulty breathing, breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or vomiting, dizziness or light-headedness.

Stroke
With the blood supply either cut off or leaking into the brain, brain cells in the area that the vessels supply start to die, which can cause permanent brain damage if circulation is not promptly restored.

The signs of stroke may include weakness or numbness or paralysis of the face, arm or leg on either or both sides of the body, difficulty speaking or understanding, dizziness or loss of balance, loss of vision, severe or abrupt headache, difficulty swallowing. It also can easily detected by acronym FAST.

Both of those "killers" are caused by blood flow clot due to a plaque. Smoking, a poor diet, high blood cholesterol, physical inactivity, a family history of heart disease, diabetes, being overweight and depression can increase a risk of plaque formation that aimed to heart attack and/or stroke. So. what to do to reduce the risk or even to remove it are:
  • Don't smoke
  • Stay a healthy weight
  • Eat less fat and sugar
  • Take Omega-3 daily
  • Eat more fish, fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Choose smaller portions
  • Spend less time sitting (always keep moving)
  • Limit alcohol
  • Have regular medical check-up with your doctor, including blood pressure, cholesterol, heart rhythm and blood glucose
  • Take medicines as prescribed by your doctor
  • Look after psychological health.
  • In case of emergency of those disease, just call your emergency access and wait for advice from the medical emergency officer.
Or, you can use a simple ABC or Life's Simple 7 for what to do. Western Australian Heart Foundation says good heart health should be a lifelong journey rather than starting only when told you have raised blood pressure or another risk factor.
