To stop sweating a lot can be by a cold shower, but it still sucks. The only way to avoid massive trickle stains after your lunchtime workout or, even worse, as you get ready for a date, is to lower your exercise-elevated core body temperature.
Eric Durak, M.Sc., president of Medical Health and Fitness in Santa Barbara, California, suggests running your wrist under cold water for a minute or two. This helps cool the blood that's close to the skin's surface.
The blood circulates through your body, and you no longer need to sweat. Dipping your feet in a pool or lake works, too.
