FAST ABC for Heart Attack and Stroke

FAST is an acronym used for learning the signs of stroke  that stands for,
  • Face: Does the face look uneven? Ask the person to smile
  • Arm: Does one arm drift down? Ask the person to raise both arms
  • Speech: Does their speech sound strange? Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase, for example, "The sky is blue."
  • Time: If you observe any of these signs, then it's time to call emergency.
Whereas, ABC is an acronym used by American Heart in giving a simple tips to reduce the risk of heart attack, and also stroke.
  • A: Avoid Tobacco, that related to Tobacco smoke, stress, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol
  • B: Be More Active, that related to Physical inactivity, stress, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, obesity
  • C: Choose Good Nutrition, that related to alcohol stress, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, Diabetes Mellitus, obesity
