Being old. This is how nature works, we all will grow old, our health begins to deteriorate, and our risks for diseases suddenly increase, and we eventually have to leave this tent we are living in tight now.

Aside from failing to get enough physical activity, most seniors today also fail to receive proper nutrition, resulting to vitamin deficiency and dehydration. Eating a well-balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables is key to having optimal health for seniors. You should take a meal that low in fat, sugar, and sodium but should be rich in calcium and fiber. Calcium is especially important in preventing bone disorder such as osteoporosis. Fiber is essential for reducing your risk for developing diseases in the digestive tracts. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water every day is also a good way to prevent dehydration and to help cleanse your digestive and urinary tracts.

To boost a mental health, You can load up with foods that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. You may be not to get the required amount of nutrients you eat, so to reach a daily requirement you need to take in some supplements as well. A good anti-aging supplement should contain a combination of antioxidants that help boost your brain, skin, and overall health. Ingredients to look for in supplements include Vitamins A, B, C, E, CoEnzyme Q10, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Gingko Biloba, Retinol, Magnesium, and Potassium.

Finally, make a plan to visit your doctor regularly to have your general checkup even when you feel healthy and well. The reason is that there are many health problems that do not show signs and symptoms during their early development stages and only surprise you when they have already gotten worse.
